With Todd Bertuzzi out of the game for not having a secure fighting strap during a first period fight, the Anaheim Ducks made some adjustments and beat the visiting Calgary Flames, 3-1.

The Ducks were up 2-1 at the end of the second period and it pretty much stayed equal throughout. However, Calgary had a few shots go off the post and could have easily tied or gone ahead of the Ducks during the final period.

Anaheim received a four-minute powerplay with 3:17 left when Rob Neidermayer got high-sticked in the face and drew blood. Calgary then had another penalty to make it a 5-on-3 for the Ducks. Teemu Selanne scored with 51.2 seconds to seal it.
