This is AWESOME!!!
As a former cyclist and seeing one of the sports that I love fall apart due to drug scandals, I love this awesome idea and decided to write about it.
With a recent rider (Riccardo Ricco) getting caught in this year’s Tour de France for using an enhancement drug, I was happy to hear that the pharmaceutical company that manufactured the drug (CEPO), added a molecule that could be detected by the testing procedures used in the Tour.
It sure sounds like a thing out of science fiction and I hope all drug companies are doing this to ensure that these medications are used in the way they were designed and not for the cheats that want to excel in sports.
Notch one up for the drug company who did this, WADA and the Tour.
I sure hope this opens the eyes of all athletes that it’s not beneficial to cheat yourself and potentially your career for something more important.
