Ducks Shoot it out with the Sharks and Lose, 2-3.
Well, I thought it was over in the first period when the Ducks went up 2-0. The period was all Ducks. Things sure changed in the second when the Sharks took advantage of several Ducks turnovers and tied it, 2-2.
The third period was a chippy one at that. There were tons of physical hits and banging around. What an exciting game it was. It remained tied after the third and headed to OT. The excitement continued in the OT period with no score. It came down to a shootout for the extra point.
As with most of our shootouts this season (and last), we didn’t make it. But, we did earn a point to make it to 107, two points from clinching the Pacific Division with two games to go! Go Ducks!
47 Wins, 107 Points, 1st in the Pacific Division.
Games remaining: Friday at Dallas, Saturday at Columbus.
