This evening I attended game three of the Western Conference Quarter Finals between the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks. Although, the Ducks lost, it was still an entertaining game to watch. I also took along my camcorder and created the following video. Enjoy!
I took my Flip Mino HD camcorder as my date for the evening and she captured a bunch of great scenes at the event. As one of the co-advisors for this year’s prom, I’m relieved that it’s over. The kids seemed to have a wonderful time as you will see in the video below. Both videos are the same. They’re just posted on different sites (Viddler and YouTube).
I got a steal on ebay for the Flip Mino and currently own the Mino HD as well. The main reason I added the Mino to my lineup of cameras was that my son has shown interest in taking his own videos, too. Why not encourage him in using something so easy that produces decent video? So, I’m giving it a shot.
Prior to having him use it fulltime, I decided to create a video on both the Mino and Mino HD. There certainly are differences in video quality and framerate as you can see. But, for a relatively inexpensive investment, this could spark the movie director in anyone. Enjoy!
Yesterday turned out to be a nice visit to Disneyland. Expecting to go it solo, a fellow coworker decided to join me for the day of fun. Thanks, Alicia!
The weather was nice, great temps and nice cloud cover. In addition, I took video of a few attractions:
Small World
Pirates of the Carribean
Columbia Ship
Haunted Mansion
Jungle Cruise
The Grand Canyon and Primevil World train segment.
Take a look at the following production taken on my Flip Mino HD. I’m kinda lovin’ this new toy of mine!
Today was a sick day for my son and to keep things fun, we put together his Marble Extreme game. Well, it’s not much of a game… You assemble it (about an hours time) and let the marbles do their thing with the motor-assisted corkscrew thing. Gravity does the rest…
As an experiment, I uploaded this video to YouTube, Viddler, Vimeo and Flickr to compare the quality and other factors of the upload experience. As of this writing, Vimeo is still processing the upload (30 minutes so far) and want me to upgrade. The others were very quick with the upload and encoding. Updates later…
