OC Fires, 20081115

Update: 9:04pm-Looks like there’s a possibility that both the Brea and Yorba Linda fires may unite somewhere near Olinda in the Carbon Canyon area.

As I look out my north window, there’s a distinct orange glow from the Brea fire.  Man, it seems a bit unnerving knowing that it’s pretty darn close to home.  I’m pretty sure that most of the mountain biking trails I’ve ridden up there are gone!  Certainly, this day has been a bad day in OC.

Tomorrow, will probably be just as bad as the weather people are saying the strong Santa Ana’s won’t begin to subside until late tomorrow.  My prayers and thoughts are for those who lost it all and for the fire fighters who are continuing the brave battle.

Initial Post: 12:13pm-Just a quick post to inform everyone of a couple fires in my area. As of this post, there’s one north in Brea and one east in the Corona/Yorba Linda area. In relation to where I’m at, I’d say the closest one (Brea) is roughly 3-5 miles north.

I’m still around…

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted but I wanted to inform everyone out there that I’m still around.  I recently completed a move from my apartment to a home and have been in the process of settling down at the new digs.  I forgot how much is involved in moving locales.

I have not forgotten about my site and plan on posting new happenings very quickly.  Perhaps this move will reinvigorate my future postings as I’m much happier with this change!

Daniel’s Taekwondo Testing, 20081003

This afternoon was Daniel’s test to move up from Junior Blue to Senior Blue belt in Taekwondo! He did very well and we were very proud of what he accomplished. Keep up the great job and continue your focus. You’ll be a Black Belt in no time!

Below is a video of his nunchuk test using Vimeo and Viddler. I’m still messing around with several video hosting sites and hope to stick to just one in the near future.  Please provide me your feedback of your likes/dislikes on these two.  Both certainly have pluses.
